For Book Clubs and Teachers
Both Joe and Denise have worked in children’s publishing and are comfortable working with students and teachers. They offer classroom visits that can be conducted one of two ways:
Conventional classroom visits: The authors come to your school and conduct from one to a maximum of four sessions per day. Topics covered can be tailored to the individual class and grade level, and will include a multimedia presentation, if appropriate.
Depending on your preference, the authors can spend the lunch period with students or faculty. (They love hanging out with kids, but also relish catching up on trends in education with the grown-ups.)
Virtual classroom visits: The authors conduct hour-long live chats with your students, allowing them to submit questions electronically, which the authors then answer in real time. If your computer is equipped with a camera and microphone, hour-long Skype visits are also possible.

For Book Clubs
Dear Teachers:
We are happy to share that our book received a starred review from School Library Journal and is now available in more than 300 libraries around the world. So naturally, many friends have asked if our book is appropriate for young readers. Our answer? That depends.
Overall, the reading level is too high and the peccadilloes of our Founding Fathers too numerous for the book to be appropriate for all ages. That said, though the book is intended for adults, precocious pre-teens and teens may find it an entertaining, informative hoot.
We recommend that you give it a read and see if you aren’t inspired to share some of these lesser-known stories with your students.

The authors welcome the opportunity to interact with their readers. Joe and Denise are always available for Skype sessions with Book Clubs.
